Attire Effect

Attire Effect is an ongoing project- replacing the artist’s wardrobe with secondhand/handmade garments utilizing regional botanical and compost dyes. It’s a slow process that requires responsible foraging, seasonal waiting, and experimentation.

The images include garments of silk, cotton, bamboo, wool, and linen and have been dyed with avocado pits, turmeric, assorted flowers, yellow onion skins, indigo, pokeberries, and iron.

Have a garment made of natural fibers you’d like dyed or flower-steamed? Drop me a line!
