Dig In! is a web-series hosted by Claire Krüeger and Joyce Barbour that encourages curiosity and inclusion by making Kentucky’s natural world more accessible while allowing youth to explore their role in the health of the environment. Unlike the media of our youth, we present this from identities outside of the cisheteronormative framework and consider how our role as media makers and educators can facilitate experiences that go beyond these boundaries.
By incorporating topics such as gender expression and identity, cultural and species differences, and environmental impacts, we encourage viewers to be responsibly curious citizens, neighbors, and stewards to all land and people.
We received a Kentucky Foundation for Women grant to complete more episodes coming in 2022.
