Going Down?

Inspired by photos taken at various Sycamore Land Trust sites, Going Down?, considers the materials that compose our environments. Using mycology as a metaphor for renewal, we can imagine a transformation of the toxins we’ve cultivated into new sources for energy and fuel for our next phase of development. Just as mushrooms create vast networks of mycelium to break down the harm we've done to our environment, our invisible human connections can become a part of the purification process for many of the social challenges we face. There are many lessons we can learn from our natural environments, but the real work begins when we bring  these lessons into fruition in our communities.
